Elementary Question -- CORRECTED ANSWER

Dear Cameron,

Minor correction -- there seem to be 2 places I can enter run-time flags: (1) in the "Arguments" pane of the "Edit Current Executable" window, as you suggested, or (2) in the Target Editor > Info.plist Entries > Simple View > Pure Java Specific > Additional VM Options.

I tried putting the "-Xmx" option in (1) and it had no effect. But putting it in (2) did the trick. I'm back in business!

Where can I change the "-Xmx" flag referred to on the Web?

In XCode's Project menu, choose the menu item "Edit Active Executable xxx". In the dialog that appears, there is a place to add arguments that will be used when running your program.
