problems with latest security update???

Hi all,
I was able to compile xerces yesterday morning... today I can't. I
installed the latest security update last night.

I'm now getting this link error:

ld:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CarbonCore.framework/Versions/A/CarbonCore
isym field of reference table entry 2477 past the end of the symbol table
/usr/bin/libtool: internal link edit command failed

When I take a look at CarbonCore, it has yesterday's date:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 3350232 Oct 6 16:28 CarbonCore
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 15988348 May 24 18:59 CarbonCore_debug
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 6704984 May 24 19:05 CarbonCore_profile
drwxr-xr-x 71 root wheel 2414 Jun 13 13:52 Headers
drwxr-xr-x 13 root wheel 442 Aug 16 08:15 Resources
drwxr-xr-x 4 root wheel 136 Oct 6 16:29 Support

Does this mean that the security updated changed CarbonCore in some way
that is causing the link error?

I sure hope not, but if it did, can it be fixed???

Any other ideas on why this would be failing and what I can do to fix it?

I have Xcode 2.1 installed and used gmake to compile xerces.

Kevin Hoyt
