[xcode] make in external target

  • Subject: [xcode] make in external target

Hi,

I have an external target in XCode in which I run a makefile
using /usr/bin/make. The problem I encounter is that one of
the commands that needs to get executed cannot be found (latex).

As far as I understand the issue, the problem is that the
shell run by XCode is a non-interactive shell and does not
read my usual ~/.profile intialization stuff. (In the latter
I set the path for latex to /sw/bin.) It appears that I am
not even allowed to *change* the path: doing a

manual.pdf: manual.tex
                 export PATH="$(PATH):/sw/bin"
                 echo $(PATH)
                 latexmk -pdf manual

in the makefile does not alter the path at all!

Is there a way to tell XCode's shell to read some
initialization file?

Thanks for any help, I can need it!
Kaspar
