It looks like you're using Xcode 2.0 or older. The line-through text in the target settings is trying to tell you that the setting is being controlled in the Project's build style settings, rather than in the target. Use the Get Info command to show the project settings, and turn off ZeroLink in the "Styles" tab.

How do I do that? Going to Build->Edit Active Target and looking at
the "ZeroLink" entry shows that the checkbox is cleared and the
ZeroLink label has a line through it.

I would turn off ZeroLink in the target build settings and see if you
can build successfully. It appears you may be trying to link in a
static library while using ZeroLink and Xcode isn't liking that?

I'm porting an app from CodeWarrior/CFM to XCode/Mach-O. I think I'm
about 90% of the way there: the support libraries compile, as does the
program's source code. However, instead of linking to produce a
working executable, I get the message "Build failed" and the following
output:

Native Build of Target "OpenEdit.macho"

Touch "/DEVELOPMENT xcode/EE20/Apps/OpenEdit.macho/build/
OpenEdit.macho.app"

Bundlizing "/DEVELOPMENT
xcode/EE20/Apps/OpenEdit.macho/build/OpenEdit.macho.build/
OpenEdit.macho.build/Objects-normal/ppc/libndgw.staticlib.ab"
"/DEVELOPMENT xcode/EE20/GUI/gw/ndgw.staticlib/build/
libndgw.staticlib.a"
<<<

What's going wrong? How do I get XCode to produce meaningful output?

Thanks,
Mark Wagner
