subclass variable not defined in scope? (also)

One other thing that could be causing trouble, this code uses namespaces.  That is, the classes are defined within
namespace Wml and at the beginning of  the code where I'm getting the error, there is 

 

using namespace Wml;

followed by the function definitions that are choking.

If anyone recognizes this behavior, please let me know!
