Xcode doesn't in fact work the way you imply it does above: it
always compiles only from saved files. So your problem as noted
above isn't expected behavior.
Interesting. I'm quite sure this is what I'm seeing. I'll try a bit
harder to reproduce it and be a bit careful about what I'm doing.
I clearly see this problem too. It isn't reproducible, but
occasionally this happens:
* Build, receive an error report.
* Change the source file.
* Save.
* Build, receive the same error report with the text of the original
source (which no longer exists anywhere.)
I see this on a dual processor G4 with distributed builds turned off.
