Ian,

Thanks for the kind words on the book. We were instructed to insert lots
of jokes and "funny tangents" in the book to match the series style --
something that took some effort, but was fun (and for which some
reviewers have seriously "dinged" the book). Michael and I enjoyed
collaborating on this title.

The book is about the Xcode environment, not about programming in any
particular language, so the examples have to be pretty basic.

I would have put in more on AppleScript Studio (that was one of my
chapters), but we had to strike a balance with the other topics and page
count was an issue. If we are asked to do a new edition, as I hope will
be the case when the next major Xcode revision is on its way, I will
definitely push for more AppleScript Studio coverage -- I'd like to fit
in an example of putting an AppleScript Studio wrapper around a unix
commandline tool, which is something that I believe a lot of beginning
Xcode users are or would be interested in doing. In this edition, I
included links to where such examples could be found (page count,
again).
