when I stop typing in the middle of a statement for a while (leaving
the editor window in a syntactically incorrect state).
Ok, maybe I'm expecting it to do a lot more than it does. I was
hoping that it would try and slowly compile each file in my project,
especially whenever Xcode notices a period of user
inactivity/idleness. Perhaps it just does a background compile of a
file as it is edited.
Yes, all we currently do is compile the existing file being edited.
You are not alone in wanting Xcode to compile the other changed files
in the background.
