For the archives, in case somebody else hits against this, I've
finally figured out what the problem was.
My app keeps a kqueue to watch the folders for changes. What was
happening in these cases was that I had hit against the number of
open files limit, and when the system went to link in any more
frameworks it couldn't and crashed.
