Handling files dropped onto NSTextView

  • Subject: Handling files dropped onto NSTextView

My view returns YES for importsGraphics -- I do indeed want graphics embedded in text. However, if you drag an arbitrary file in, you get the icon of a file, but can't do anything with it. I'd like a bit of control over this, but can't see anything that lets me determine what happens at the time a file is dragged in. (I'd like to make a different sort of attachment, I think, which is just a link rather than the entire file.)

Am I just missing the delegate methods or method to subclass for dealing with a dropped file? Overriding performDragOperation seems way too low level.
