Give astyle a shot. It's easy to use, and very configurable.

Because I have an application that generates C++ code, not too well formatted, I tend to use xcode's reindent a lot. I find it oh so slow and on one of my files, some 3000 lines of C++ code, it does not come back at all but leaves me watching the spinning wheel while xcode gets stuck not responding.

I am in the process of rewriting my application to generate better formatted code so I can avoid using reindent but in the meantime does anyone know of a decent formatter for C++? The indent C formatter distributed with OSX is lightning fast but it does not handle C++.

Really! Apple needs to fix reindent. It is embarrassing.
