1. It isn't necessary considering the small size of the executable
code compared to the resources used.
2. Such a choice reduces the user experience. Fat binaries allow for
the user to never have to know what architecture their computer is.
There will always be users that choose the wrong one or developers
that punish the user harshly for choosing the wrong one.
