Automator Action doesn't see updated sdef

  • Thread-topic: Automator Action doesn't see updated sdef

After adding some new terminology to my app's sdef, recompiling and
reinstalling the app, I re-open one of it's Automator action projects. I
add one of the new terms to its main.applescript, and compile, but I see
that, unlike the old terminology, the new term is green and not blue,
meaning that it is not recognized as a defined property and therefore may
not work. ARGHHH!!!

Since I am familiar with similar foul caching behavior by Script Editor, I
copy all the text from this main.applescript, remove main.applescript from
the project, delete its file, quit Script Editor, quit Xcode, quit my app,
relauch Xcode, reopen the Automator action project, make a "New Applescript
text" file named main.applescript, paste in all the text from the clipboard,
hoping that all this voodoo would be enough to get Xcode to look at the new
dictionary. But it wasn't. After compiling, my new terminology is still
green.

I hope I don't have to re-make the whole Automator action project from
scratch, just to clean the old sdef out of some unseen and undocumented
cache somewhere. Someone please give a "holiday" gift and tell me there is
an easier way.

Thanks,

Jerry Krinock
