Thanks for your input - yes, I was aware of this function

XCode 2.1 would give you a description of the problem as well (or a better description than "Cannot resolve symbol" at least) and I also noticed this missing in 2.2. That may be all that you are talking about, in which case I agree it's a bug. I just wasn't sure if you knew there was a way to get straight to the problem line ...

In 2.2 The name of the symbol is missing. So in 2.1 I'd get 'cannot resolve symbol foo' instead of just 'cannot resolve symbol', the former being considerably more helpful!
