Er, oops. I think I just found the strangeness. (Getting in touch with my own inner nincompoop.)

I had instructed my class model to track a group of files. Then, somehow, I put the class model file in that group. Thus it had to track its own changes... This must have been embarrassing for it. I put the cxlass model file in a more reasonable place, and it seems to be acting better.
