I have the Active Build configuration selected for the specific target. I
have seen the same 'configuration ' settings show different values depending
on what area of xcode I've opened (even with one target) which I thought was
a refresh issue. I have to say though that it gets pretty confusing given
the fact there seem to be multiple build settings, each of which can be
different and that only display when digging down. I made the config
setting so why would it be different in different areas?
