  • Thread-topic: nib file crash and burn

Interface Builder crashed when I saved my nib, and now the nib can't be
opened.

Thread 0 Crashed:
0 <<00000000>> 0xfffeff20 objc_msgSend_rtp + 32
1 com.apple.Foundation 0x9294a128 _encodeObject + 104
2 com.apple.AppKit 0x93a24fe0 -[NSNibConnector
encodeWithCoder:] + 152
3 com.apple.Foundation 0x9294a444 _encodeObject + 900
4 com.apple.Foundation 0x9294aa90 -[NSKeyedArchiver
_encodeArrayOfObjects:forKey:] + 312
5 com.apple.Foundation 0x92944988 -[NSArray
encodeWithCoder:] + 252
[and so on....]

Is this sort of thing interesting, and should I submit a bug report?

Besides the obvious (work on a copy! luckily that's exactly what I was
doing), are there any tips for avoiding this sort of loss?

(And are there any tips for recovering my nib?)

m.
