I've been meaning to ask a question along these lines as well.

My strategy, which isn't terribly pleasant, but which has been successful every time I've needed it:
- open the project's package in the Finder (control-click: Show Package Contents)
- inside, you'll see a bunch of text files
- open each in BBEdit (TextEdit), and search through them for your missing item
- delete each line that refers to the missing item

Does anyone know a better way?

Nate

I change to a dylib and added it to the Xcode project, no change.

Now I remove the dylib from the Xcode project, BUT Xcode now say it can't
complete the linking because it can't find the dylib!

Can someone tell me how to remove items from an Xcode project correctly?

I can't seem to get Xcode to let go! I have gone through all of the caches
and deleted them hoping this would do it, but to no avail... Last time I
tried this I had to build a whole new project, painful...
