You preach to the choir J Not worrying about
backward compatibility would make my job much easier, but convincing marketing
to drop support for a version isn’t easy when we want our client to run
as widely as possible. At least we’re off of OS 9, and have dropped
10.0 and 10.1.
What can Apple do to help developers in
this area? It seems you would be in a perfect position to speak with
authority on how many (or few) OS 10.2.8 holdouts there still are based on
registration info. A small percentage number would help my argument to
drop it. We can get some of this info from our existing customers, but
knowing who might pass us up because we don’t meet their minimum
requirements is also important.
Does Apple publish this info and, if so,
where can I find it?
Thanks,
Dave

Do you really have that many users running
10.2.8? Most folks are able to only support 10.3 or later, or even 10.3.9
or later.
