Compile file

  • Thread-topic: Compile file

When I us the Compile (command K) to force a rebuild of a file, XCode seems to build only the first architecture in its list of architectures.  For Debug (generally only the native arch) this is no problem, but when I’m working on a file that does different things for each architecture, I’d like to be able to force it to rebuild both.

The only work around I have at the moment is to compile, then go into the Architectures build settings and swap the order of the architectures, and build again.

Is there any way to have XCode build both versions when I tell it to compile?  Or perhaps a simpler way to toggle which architecture it will build (perhaps an “Active Architecture” tool bar item)?

Thanks,

Dave
