You preach to the choir J Not worrying about backward compatibility would make my job much easier, but convincing marketing to drop support for a version isn’t easy when we want our client to run as widely as possible. At least we’re off of OS 9, and have dropped 10.0 and 10.1.


What can Apple do to help developers in this area? It seems you would be in a perfect position to speak with authority on how many (or few) OS 10.2.8 holdouts there still are based on registration info. A small percentage number would help my argument to drop it. We can get some of this info from our existing customers, but knowing who might pass us up because we don’t meet their minimum requirements is also important.



Does Apple publish this info and, if so, where can I find it?
