This morning I've switched to debugging the same code on a PPC Mac, and the problem is gone. I suspect that there's an Intel specific bug here. Should I report this to Radar, or is it already known?

I've seen similar things in older versions of Xcode, on PPC. I had believed them to be fixed, however. It may indeed be a resurfacing of that problem on the new platform.

File a bug report regardless. If nothing else it's an extra vote to promote a higher priority fix.
