- Thread-topic: Renaming Target Product Name makes Xcode Debugger and launch Fail
Hi-
I have a Universal app target that was debugging/launching from Xcode
perfectly. I later decided to rename the target with a different version
number at the end of the product name. So, I renamed the product in the
Target (General Panel) and then the Target "Product Name" (Build Panel), I
could build and debug fine. However, on quitting Xcode, relaunching it,
opening the project back up, when I build & launch the debugger from Xcode
it simply says "Build Succeeded" but the app never loads into GDB/debugger
(cmd-Y), nor launches from Xcode (cmd-R). It never says "GDB: Loading
Program...", "GDB: Running...", etc...
- the target was debugging/launching from Xcode fine before I changed it's
Target "Product Name", quit & reopened the project in Xcode
- the built app launches fine from Terminal and the Finder
- yes, it's a debug Config, launching on PPC
- Project was originally imported from CW 9.5
- Xcode 2.2.1, OS 10.4.5, reproduced on PBG4 1.25GHz, G5 2x2GHz
I've gone through this recipe multiple times and it is clearly reproducible
for my target. Is this a bug? Is there a workaround or fix?
TIA-
SB
