I was just wondering if it's normal to get any sort of notification when a bug marked as "duplicate" is fixed. I can't see any privacy or other problems with doing that, but it doesn't seem to happen. For example, I just noticed that bug rdar://4331512 which I raised in November appears to be fixed in the latest version of Xcode, but it's still marked as duplicate. Is this normal? As someone with a fair few "duplicate" bugs I'd be interested to know when they're fixed...

Normally the filers of bugs that are closed with resolution "duplicate" are not notified when the original bug is fixed.  You can ask your ADC contact for a status update, if they can give you one.
