Xcode 2.2 Hangs on Launch

Hello,
I just installed Xcode 2.2 and the 10.4.4 update. When I first
launched Xcode, the menu bar would display the Xcode menus and then
the app would just sit. The menus could not be used, and nothing else
could be done, switching to and from the application did not work
properly. I then moved "com.apple.Xcode.plist" to the desktop and
launched Xcode again. This time I received the New User Assistant,
clicked Next and got the hang. (or maybe it was already hanging when
i tried to click, the dialog never changes)
Anyone have any suggestions to get this up and running again? Thanks.
