I'm having problems fulfilling the form at http://
developer.apple.com/dtkexchange/ because it doesn't seem to support
non-roman characters, the problem is that last june, when I've
ordered my DTK I put the symbol º in my address, and looks like
there is no way to change my address eliminating º symbols having
tried with different browsers also... The system doesn't let me to
continue the process for requesting the exchange, and I really need
one because my application it's a graphics intensive one and
because as Chris Espinosa said in this mailing list, there won't be
newer builds of Mac Os X for DTK systems...
I've already sent a message trough http://developer.apple.com/
contact/ explaining the problem, and I'm waiting for a response,
but I thought that if someone read this message at this mailing
list could resolve the problem faster.. Probably Chris Espinosa or
someone at Apple could talk with the persons in charge of this..
You can try emailing email@hidden. That may or may not be faster
than the web form.
I would also like to know what are the big changes that doesn't let
Apple to make a 10.4.4 version for DTK, are them related with the
use of EFI in the new Macs or is simply due to new protections in
Mac Os X for preventing from running on clones? It's a political
decision to force to exchange the DTK for new iMacs giving new
options to developers to shape their ideas? I'm Curious...
The DTK systems don't have EFI and can't support it, so once the OS
started to require EFI it couldn't run on the DTKs any more.
