Sure, that's the way I do it. But FIRST, make sure to add a "Build
Phase" called "Frameworks & Libraries" -- otherwise, the frameworks
that
you add show up in the "Groups & Files" list but NOT in the "Targets"
list and do NOT appear as -framework flags in the linker step.
Ah... I think I have never seen a project that didn't already have
that
phase--a difference in how we started the projects.
Yep. Bill started with the BSD Dynamic Library template, which
doesn't include any extra libraries by default and therefore doesn't
have a Frameworks & Libraries build phase. Another reason to start
with the Java JNI Application template. :)
I'll file a bug about how the Frameworks & Libraries build phase
should be created when you add a framework to a project that doesn't
have that build phase.
Actually, no, I won't do that because it works fine for me with Xcode
2.2.1. I created a new BSD Dynamic Library project, added a source
file to it so it'd have something to compile, added the AppKit
framework to it, and a Link Binary With Libraries build phase was
automatically created with AppKit added to it. When I built the
project, "-framework AppKit" was passed to the linker. So this appears
to work fine in Xcode 2.2.1.
