I'm trying to make a universal binary framework out of ffmpeg and I'm
having a few issues. The biggest problem seems to be that some files
need to be included only for ppc builds and other files need to be
included only for i386 builds. I'm not sure how to instruct Xcode to
only use those files with particular arches.
I'd like to do this without having to modify the source files if
possible so I don't want to edit each file and put in the correct
#ifdef.
There's no way to do this in Xcode today. I'd suggest filing a bug
report.
I have a similar problem. I need to link different third party
libraries for the PPC and X86 builds. The link step doesn't fail.
But, it issues a warning for each library that it does not match the
other CPU type. In this case, there is no source to ifdef. I like to
have "clean" builds, but I can live with two warnings.
I assume that this is also not yet handled in Xcode.
