Internal Error: Unable to build an old XCode project.

I got the following error dialog when I attempt to build an old XCode project:

File: /SourceCache/DevToolsBase/DevToolsBase-658/pbxcore/FileTypes/../PBXFileType.m
Line: 493
Object: <PBXFileType:0x006e6c10>
Method: subpathForWrapperPart:ofPath:withExtraFileProperties:

path should be a non-empty string, but it's an empty string

I emptied the build directory and attempted to build from scratch.

Any reason/remedy for this?

I found the solution:

The resolution is removing ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Xcode.plist.

Then, I can open my project without error!!
