I was told it was a known issue.

So do I.

But Apple's bug reporting activity is known to be interested in knowing how many users are affected by a specific issue--so that Apple's team can better priorise fixes.

So thanks for your bug report to Apple: this definitely helps--or at least adds some hope ;) !
