Bundles? Understand - altho I have been used to "application package" to
describe them as CodeWarrior present 'em.
Ok, this particular project is a command line tool that historically had
*not* been built as an application package. Only reason? Made it easy for
other scripts to reference the tool, and they did not have to "drill down"
into the package.
Are you guys saying that a command line tool cannot use Navigation Services
when built w/ Xcode on Tiger?? BTW, this target when executed fm a Terminal
window exhibits the same focus issue. So I suspect your bundle theory is on
the money. BTW, CodeWarrior was able to create this just fine on Jaguar.
I did create another target - a Carbon Bundle; and I noted that a new target
test.app was created. Hmmm - makes sense. But no new executable was
created?? And the build was almost instantaneous - I just wish Xcode was
that fast. It is obvious that I need to go back to the user manual...
Moreover, given this project, how do I determine what kind of target it is?
(someone else created this project for me, and they are unavail for abit). I
did select the target, and <cmd>I, and I got the Info window, but for life
of me I cannot tell if this project would result in a library, command-line
tool, or??
I feel like an idiot :-( Someday I will be able to wear an Xcode tee-shirt,
but certainly not yet...
