Making XCode realize a file/resource has been updated

Is there anyway in XCode to make it realize a file has been updated?

Sometimes (too many times IMHO), XCode is not able to see that a .nib "file" or another resource has been changed.

So when you launch a new build, the new version of the file is not included. The same happens for source code (but very less often).

The current solution for me is to clean the whole project (and deal with the issue that you can cancel a build in XCode 2.2...) and re- build everything.

Would there be a faster way to do this?
