No Crash Report dialog

  • Subject: No Crash Report dialog

Application crashes on my Mac (10.4.6, dual G5) recently stopped being notified via the CrashReporter UI. It's just the dialog that's gone missing; the report itself is logged correctly to ~Library/Logs/ CrashReporter/.

I checked that com.apple.CrashReporter.plist exists in ~/Library/ Preferences/ and contains:

	<key>DialogType</key>
	<string>developer</string>

and then used /Developer/Applications/Utilities/CrashReporterPrefs to reset the prefs, without effect. No further advice seems to be given in the CrashReporter tech note:
<http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn2004/tn2123.html>

Any ideas?

Robert P.
