My guess is there's a bug in your code that isn't being exposed unless
you're optimizing. However, if there is a code gen bug, I'd love to hear
about it and I'm sure that others on the list would as well. Like you
said, Apple has moved on to 4.0 (and they're falling behind even, gentoo
marked FSF gcc 4.1.1 stable for ppc last week) but if the bug is bad
enough then maybe Apple would consider fixing it or at least putting up
some sort of notice about it.
