compilation options

Hello,

I am a new user of Xcode and I need to compile a c++ file with special options.
I know that by selecting the name of the project and clicking on the Build onglet I can modify the options but still I don't see how can I add my options (for example -v etc.).

Could you possibly tell me how can this be done.
