It does, of course. My point was that in CW's case, almost all warnings
are controllable and _discoverable_ via the GUI, not so with Xcode. (A
couple of CW warnings are only controllable by pragmas, so it has a
similar problem to a lesser degree.)

They do indeed. Thus I would argue that at a minimum we need checkboxes
(or other GUI elements) to set all the language specific ones.

Derailed 3rd party developer's plans too. :)

My feedback is meant as constructive, I'm sorry if I projected a
different tone.
My frustration stems from the fact that some warnings can simply not be
enabled because they will generate warnings about being used in the
wrong type of source file. I have a hard seeing that happen in an app
that does not wrap a CLI in a GUI.
