I'm not trying to agument the use of IB, I just want to learn how to
customize my interface to my style through IB if at all possible ..
It's not possible. If it were you'd see an option for it somewhere.
You'll have to do that kind of customization in your code. Have fun. :-)

And what's the problem with that? Your app should be able to
distinguish itself by what it does. If it is significantly different
from other apps in how it looks, your users will just be confused.
Standardization is good, but some applications do benefit from non-
standard interfaces. Unlike Apple, though, I wouldn't customize my
interface unless the change offered a real benefit to the user.
Speaking of ShapeShifter, if you customize your interface,
ShapeShifter users won't see the look they picked when using your
application.

Won't help. This isn't an Xcode issue. It's a design and programming
issue.
