They use a private framework called ProKit. You're not allowed to
use it.
Just out of curiosity, where is it stated that nobody is allowed to
use it?
You just can't redistribute it, don't have access to the headers
and IB palettes, there's no support for it and there's no guarantee
it is installed on every machine (as a matter of fact, it's not).
But I didn't see any statement that you can't use it for your own
use once you've re-created the headers.
As somebody who was once hauled in by the HI police for questioning,
I don't want to hear that knock at the door at 3am.
I don't think there's anything to stop you from using it apart from
the fact that being private, it may change in the future, although
there's lots of apps which rely on it so it can't change that much.
