You cannot add files to a build phase via the inspector. Files can just be dragged in the "Groups & Files" view into the required build phase.


I was trying to attach a picture but couldn't as the message was getting to be too big.

This is what you need to do..
- In the "Groups & Files" view display the "Target" membership column.
- Check to see if the ".java" file is included in any build phase of the target. ( You can do this by clicking on the disclosure triangle of the build phase under the target in the "Groups & Files" view.)
- Just drag the file from another build phase into the "Java Build Phase" or drag the file from the sources into this phase.
