I have the preference for existing files set to Preserve, but XCode
still changes the endings for me on a seemingly random basis. I'd
love to file a bug report, but I don't know what causes the problem,
which will make the bug report a little empty - I'm only thinking
that it might be pasting text which causes it because of this thread.
What happens is that I'll suddenly find that a file has had its
endings changed when I try doing a diff or file merge and find that
the whole file differs. By then, whatever caused it to happen is days
in the past.

On a related note, if you select a file in the project and get info, what is the "Line Endings" setting supposed to be set to? It seems that by default it is set to "No Explicit Line Ending". If I change this to the specific line endings I want, it does seem to do the right thing. Perhaps you could change this for the files in your project to set them to Windows line endings. Though it still seems like a bug that XCode is apparently not observing the Text Editing prefs on files that are set to "No Explicit Line Ending".
