Big .o files normal?

  • Subject: Big .o files normal?

Hi,

After compiling *any* project (I have several ones) the .o files in the directory

/MyProject/build/MyProject.build/Debug/MyProject.build/Objects-normal/ ppc

have *all* a size between 1 and 1.1 MB - as I have just recognized.

The Objective C code files are (as usual, I think) rather small: most of them 4 KB, the biggest one 32 KB.

Is this normal behavior? And if not: Where may it come from? Inconvenient build settings?

Mac OS 10.4.6, Xcode 2.3, gcc 4.0.

I would be rather grateful if someone has an idea.

Klaus
