I've got a project that links against libusb.dylib. How can I set thing up so that I can step into this library?

Do you have the source?  If so, set up the gdb source path to point to it:  http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/gdb/gdb/gdb_8.html

In Xcode, you can enter additional source paths in the "Debugging" tab in the inspector shown by Project . Edit Active Executable.
