find in files opens all .xcodeproj files? Re: Xcode's 'Find in Files' UI problems/questions

Following up to this old thread...

When I set up searches to search in a folder hierarchy (rather than in open files or in files in a project), Xcode opens every xcodeproj it encounters during the search, and prompts if it encounters old .xcode (pre xcode 2 I think?) projects. Does it do this for everyone or have I set something up incorrectly?

You are not alone in this, rest assured.
I too am very accustomed to arrowing down through the results list,
while watching the bottom half of the window. I didn't know about
the Tab/Option+Tab though, thanks for the tip!

I used CW for years before I knew about opt-tab, which I believed I learned at MacHack a while back. Its invaluable!

Here's another hidden gem... if you're in the lower pane of the find results window editing something, you can go to the next find result with Cmd-opt-down arrow. Faster than option-tab, down arrow, tab combination. Cmd-opt-up arrow goes to the previous find result.

Oh that's freakin' sweet! :) One more reason to stay with CW for searching. :)

I take it by the deafening silence that Xcode has no such keyboard
navigation in its Find window?
