When XCode 2.3 came out, I found that I couldn't open my projects
without getting a rainbow cursor, so I took a sample, reported a bug
to Apple, and went back to 2.2.

My bug was marked as a duplicate, and I know of two other people who
have had the same problem.

It seems like a pretty critical issue, but it doesn't seem to be
resolved. Has anybody else come up with a workaround for this while
we wait for a fix?

I had problems where the indexin was stopping xcode opening the project. deleting foo.pbxindex from the project build directory fixed that.
