XCode's text editor

Just wondering if it is possible to install just the text editor that XCode uses (I would like it to have Obj- C code sense as well). I have a laptop that I have not installed Developer Tools on yet and I want to keep it that way but I do want to work on typing up code while out and about. I know its a very strange idea but I spend time a job sites just baby sitting to make sure nothing gets messed up by the crew working and want to use the time to work on code while keeping the laptop useful as a test machine for deployment builds.

Thanks,
Mike
