hi,
As I'm trying to compile a project in xcode 2.2, I keep getting as "no
such file or directory" error when the compiler comes accross a
particular c++ header file. I had created the file with xcode's
file->new file command. It placed it in the project's root path. I
compiled the project and everything was fine.
Next, because I didn't want the file at that location but in a
specific directory, I moved the file. When I did this, I obviously
broke it's path within xcode such that it was no longer findable. To
remedy this, I did a "get info" on the file in xcode and reset the
path to the correct location. Yet, I get the error described above.
Since this didn't help, I went as far as to remove the file from my
project and do an "add existing files" thing to put it back. This
still didn't work! In between these steps, I've done several Clean
All, the magic incatation that seems to solve many xocde issues.
How can I tell xcode what it already knows? It understands where the
file is, but it's not setting the proper gcc switches to point the
compiler there.
any ideas?
thanks,
wes
