problem with shell script Build Phase

I have a project that uses custom shell script build phases. After adding a new shell script build phase, my build fails. The error message displayed is: error: couldn't create directory: Bad Adress (twice) This message was also displayed with the other shell script build phases, which were successful. What can be wrong.

1) My newest shell script calls other tools than the others.
2) I get no error messages from the called tools.
3) One of the tool calls redirects standard IO to/from files.
4) The input files exists
