I have been struggling to get my Brother MFC7820N scanner working in my own program. It is connected to the computer through ethernet and the application TWAIN_DS_Tester, which comes with the ImageCapture SDK finds it. MS Word also finds the scanner as it should, but when I try all of the demos in the ImageCapture SDK, no scanner is found. I've been reading the TWAIN specification back and forth and I cannot understand why TWAIN_DS_Tester can find the scanner, but not the ordinary TWAIN triplet DG_CONTROL, DAT_PARENT, MSG_USERSELECT cannot find anything.

I have been unable to find any source code for the TWAIN_DS_Tester and I kindly ask any of you if you know what TWAIN_DS_Tester does differently compared to the demo apps where the source code is available.
