Can anyone tell me about how subversion handles mac file types?

I am porting a large project from CodeWarrior with Voodoo SCM to Xcode/SVN. I have successfully imported the project into svn, and checked it out, and it builds. I have some data files that are recognized by file type. The data files (binary) checked out from svn have no file type, but I notice that some text files do have file type intact.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Hi Andy. I think this is solved by using the svn:mime-type property, it's explained in the SVN online e-book:
