  • Thread-topic: icon/versioning for unbundled CFM executable, dylib

Hi all,
I would like to associate an icon and version information for both a dynamic library and an unbundled Carbon-based executable.  The below link says it is possible to put an Info.plist in a unbundled CFM executable using a ‘plst’ resource.  Would this result in icon and version information appearing in the Finder for the Carbon-based executable?  If so, how do I get the .rsrc file embedded into the executable (it didn’t mention how in the below Technote)?

Also, would this same approach give me icon and Finder-visible version info for the dynamic library?  And, are there other compelling reasons to bundlize the executable (is this embedded plist method just too non-standard)?  Thanks for your help.
